Fred Flessner
Fred grew up in Bulverde, Texas, where hard work wasn't just a value—it was survival. Raised in a humble household, he started working as soon as he could, spending his formative years alongside his grandfather working cattle on ranches, guiding hunts, and learning from his dad, grandparents, and uncles to fix everything himself rather than pay someone else to do it. Those early mornings at his grandfather's power plant shifts, followed by days of ranch work, taught Fred that success comes from outworking everyone around you.
This blue-collar foundation drove Fred into healthcare operations with a mission to help people in a meaningful way. By 27, he had become the youngest location director in company history—not because he was the smartest person in the room, but because he outworked everyone while mastering every aspect of the business. His leadership philosophy of "trust the team, trust the process, and inspect what you expect" delivered breakthrough results, including implementing systems that drove 16% year-over-year growth while boosting employee engagement and cross-team collaboration.
After experiencing firsthand how private equity firms strip businesses for parts and flip them for profit—including those brutal "trim the fat" layoffs—Fred knew there had to be a better way. He founded FSH Legacy Partners with a different vision: honor the legacies business owners have built, preserve what made their companies strong, and grow them for the next generation.
When he's not working, you'll find Fred embracing his Texas roots—working cattle, spending time on hunting ranches, or chasing his dream of owning his own ranch someday. While he may wear Vans and listen to reggae at the office, he's country at heart, and his three kids motivate everything he does. As Fred puts it: "I want to be able to tell my kids 'yes' to their dreams, but I'll never just hand them success—they'll earn it the same way I did."
Bottom line: Fred understands that behind every successful business are people who've poured their blood, sweat, and tears into building something meaningful. At FSH Legacy Partners, he's committed to protecting that legacy while creating sustainable growth—because businesses aren't just assets to be flipped, they're generational legacies worth preserving.

Jon Smith
With an MBA (magna cum laude) and a Master’s Certificate in Health Services Administration, Jon spent 16 years transforming healthcare operations across large, integrated healthcare delivery systems. As a multi-state Regional Director in ophthalmology, he founded the Northern Lights Ambulatory Surgery Center in Alaska, bringing LASIK and cataract surgery access to remote, underserved communities. Before that, he built and scaled a multi-state workers’ compensation program - aligning injured worker care with physical, occupational, and massage therapy - to streamline recovery, achieve $1.3M+ in net operating income, and sustain 7% year-over-year growth.
At FSH Legacy Partners, Jon brings a servant-leadership mindset to support business owners as they plan and navigate retirement, while safeguarding the legacies they’ve built. He collaborates closely with owners to ensure their companies continue to thrive across generations, honoring both the hard work and the people who made those businesses possible. His approach blends sharp strategic thinking with genuine respect for the communities and employees at the core of every enterprise.
Outside of work, Jon recharges in the outdoors - whether rafting, hunting, backpacking, or camping. More than anything, he treasures moments with family. As a father, grandfather, and partner, he’s deeply grateful for his two grandsons and for his fiancée, whose support and encouragement have been central to his journey. He strives to pass along values of resilience, service, and humility to those around him.
Bottom line: Jon understands that businesses are more than just balance sheets - they are legacies grounded in communities and relationships. At FSH Legacy Partners, he is committed to strengthening that foundation and building sustainable growth that endures.

Brian hogan
Brian grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. As the oldest of three brothers, he learned early that success comes from hard work, not just raw talent. At Indiana University, Brian earned his Biochemistry degree with highest distinction by outworking those (often smarter people) around him, leveraging what he calls his "Pete Rose approach.” Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard.
After 20+ years of leading pharmaceutical sales teams and winning top national awards, in 2013 Brian identified an opportunity to improve the way in which cataract surgery patients were ordering and receiving their eye drop medications. So, he founded Eyelogics LLC, and built it from nothing into a $10 million a year business, operating in 19 states.
Brian's proudest moments are not his individual awards; rather they are watching the people around him develop their talents and build their own successful careers. Whether it was managing his youngest brother's rock band or developing his sales teams, Brian has always been about helping the people around him achieve their goals.
Now at FSH Legacy Partners, Brian brings that same hands-on approach to helping owners successfully transition their businesses while retaining what made their companies strong in the first place. Brian understands that behind every successful business are the people who've put their blood, sweat, and tears into building something meaningful. And he wants to honor and grow that legacy.
Outside of work Brian enjoys staying physically fit, reading non-fiction books (mostly about leadership development and history), playing guitar, and working on developing his cooking skills. He is passionate about his family and wants to continue working hard to better their lives and inspire their dreams.
Bottom line: Brian understands how to grow businesses because he's done it himself; and he knows the best leaders are the ones who lift others up along the way. Brian is proud to be part of the FSH Legacy Partners team.
